Our Events

We gather on the second Monday of each month (February to November) at 11.45am for a 12 noon start to listen to a speaker and enjoy lunch at the Hamilton Golf Club, in St Andrews.

We welcome guests of members and just ask for $30 to cover the cost of a guest’s lunch.

Please let us know if you are coming, and if you are bringing a guest, by 10am on the Friday prior to our meetings so we can confirm catering numbers.

Upcoming events

11 May 2026 - Hannah Alley, Wooden Spoon Cafe

Hannah Alley

Hannah Alley is the 27-year-old owner-operator of the Wooden Spoon in Hamilton, the only cafeteria in the Waikato with a 100% gluten-free and ceoliac-safe menu.

Hannah has trained and worked as a chef since 2016 and is also a single Mum to a much-loved 6-year-old. She founded the Wooden Spoon after buying her own cafe space in London St in November 2023.

The Wooden Spoon has been welcomed by the community from the outset. It was highly commended at the 2024 Hamilton Central Business Awards for Best New Business, winning coverage in the Waikato Times and a listing in "Neat Places".
